The day started with my wife slipping on the ice-covered back deck while taking bird seed to the feeder. Impressively, she quickly got back up, but the bird seed scattered everywhere. I reached the airport, but due to the thick fog, I read a book until I heard the roof cracking from expansion, indicating the sun was now shining. I switched from the silver speedster with small tires to the green camping bike with larger tires after learning about some gravel trails on the route. I chocked the plane and installed the gust locks since I couldn't find any tie-downs on the ramp. The winds were only forecasted to be 15 kts that day. I missed the breakfast cutoff in New Knoxville but enjoyed a nice lunch for a total of $9.68. I rode to New Bremen on a country road, and the drivers were very courteous, giving me the entire lane. I saw a massive old tree, likely 500 years old. The Bike Museum of America (admission fee = $3) in New Bremen was amazing, and I spent two hours there until it closed at 3 PM, then went for coffee a block away. I rode towards Minster along the old Miami to Erie Canal route. I visited the Minster Library and saw a church with eight large clocks. Everything in the town was tidy and clean with wide streets. I liked it and plan to return for another trip in the future. Upon returning to Neil Armstrong airport, I had a coffee and admired the mural of Neil. I called it "a very good day," packed the bike, and flew home.
